There's still an achievement for championships that's going to soak up your time, so let's get to that next.Īs a quick note, the Festival Boss skill tab has the Fast Travel Anywhere Service in the upper left hand corner. Take a photo of 300 cars for Horizon Promo.Īfter that, it's not over. When you've finally taken 300, you'll get your beloved achievement. You can check which cars you've shot by pressing, scrolling over to Progress, and clicking Horizon Promo. This makes it easy to force AI into cars you hope to see. If you only need a few more to reach 300, you can actually restrict the car lineup to specific cars (make sure you own at least one). Using this method, you can get most of the cars. You can then set up another blueprint with different cars to generate a new list. As soon as the race begins, take a picture of the lineup. If you want to grind some of this out, you can start an exhibition race with any car type as a restriction (i.e., add any restriction you want). When you're driving around, any car with a camera above it is a car you still need for Horizon Promo (though some cars, like Drivatars, will not display the camera even if you need it). If you're mixing up the car types in a given race, this should help you see many different ones. Every time you get ready to begin a race, make sure to press and hold to open photo mode and take a shot. Once you've unlocked Horizon Promo (see Skills section above), you want to be constantly thinking of it. Unlocking your first one nets an achievement. They're always on the very top row of each tab. Along the way, you'll unlock exclusive cars. Your ultimate goal is to get all the skills. Once you have them all in the Skills tab (or at least the top row of very strong skills), you might want to unlock Fast Travel Anywhere, which is on the top left row of the Festival Boss tab. They're all very strong, so it doesn't much matter which skills you pick. Skills give you more XP to get more points, so to get them all quickest you want to make a beeline for that top row on the Skills tab. Once you have Horizon Promo unlocked, start spending all your points on the Skills tab under skills (press to switch to it). Horizon Promo is one of them (it's right in the middle of the Festival Boss tab, and I recommend you aim to unlock it as soon as possible). You'll eventually need to get them all, and some are required for specific achievements. At this point, you should at least skim through this entire section so you can plan ahead.Īs you progress, you've no doubt been unlocking skill points. Instead, I'm going to write about each section of the game with achievements so that you can keep it all in mind. Since it's literally whatever you want, I can't really guide you on it. You now know how to generally progress and succeed in the game. The next phase of the walkthrough is going to be a bit different. Now it's time for the feast! Approaching the Achievements in Single Player At the finish line, you'll get your first achievement.įrom here on out, you've just about encountered everything the game has to offer in short bites. Then it's off to your first unofficial showcase against a jeep being airlifted by a helicopter. It's not fully customizable, but there are quite a few options and whatever name you select is fully voice acted/integrated into the story. When you get to the destination, you'll be able to create your character. It's not anything you can lose, so just enjoy it. The story starts off with a race through Australia in two cars. I've provided a rough roadmap that should help you approach everything. After that, it's basically up to you to do in whatever order you please. The first section here will guide you through the beginning of the game. That said, if you want to maximize your playtime, I'd follow along. You'll have to do everything eventually, so you could probably spend your first 20 hours without looking at this and still be okay. As such, this walkthrough can only serve as a guide to help you focus your efforts in the right areas. This game allows you to approach it basically however you want.
